Operating Principle

When electrical current energizes the solenoid coil, it creates a magnetic field that moves the valve plunger, opening the water pathway. Installation Considerations

Install with flow direction matching any arrows marked on the valve body. Ensure adequate clearance for electrical connections and potential maintenance access. Mount in appropriate orientation (typically horizontal or vertical as specified). Connect to suitable power supply matching the solenoid voltage requirements.

Use appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape on connections. Install strainer or filter upstream to prevent debris from damaging valve seats. Consider installing isolation valves before and after the solenoid for maintenance access.

Maintenance Notes

Periodically inspect for leaks at connections and through the valve body. Clean or replace valve seats if flow becomes restricted or valve fails to close completely. Check electrical connections for corrosion. Calcium deposits from hard water can affect valve operation – descale as needed.
